How close Cocoa is to .Net is clearly subjective measure. I was
surprised how quickly I was able to port (rewrite) Cocoa
application to .Net without any prior mswindows development
experience and how similarly structured the resulting application was.
One important thing though - MS apparently don't get the MVC and the
MS way is to put both C and V into Forms. But this is not too much of
a translation problem for simple programs with standard GUI.
And a disclaimer, in case I sounded like a ms fanboy :-) - it is
also true that my expectations were extremely low and that's why I
was pleasantly surprised. And program was small and had only standard
GUI.
Cocoa is still the most pleasant and fun framework to work with,
compared to anything else I came across. By far.
