Disk Warrior is not designed to handle hardware errors, while Data
Rescue IS. Disk Warrior is great for fixing directory structure
issues, but it won't even do something as simple as a surface scan.

It's been more than a month since I did a backup, you're telling me
that all that is time lost? There has to be another way.
You *might* get lucky and recover your data, but "has to be"? No.
There are things you can try (a couple of people have already given
you suggestions) but you may or may not get lucky.
You might want to back up your project directory now, even in its
corrupted state, in case other things you try (or even the spinning
of the disk, if it is damaged) corrupt it more.
Two apps I go to when I have disk problems are DiskWarrior <http://www.alsoft.com/DiskWarrior/index.html
> and Data Rescue <http://www.prosofteng.com/>. DiskWarrior's
reputation is excellent and I believe Data Rescue's is pretty good
too.
The problem and/or solution might not be related to Xcode, so it may
be off-topic for this list. Omnigroup hosts a list that is more for
user issues: http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-talk.
Maybe someone there can help. Take a deep breath and try not to
scream at people.
You might have to resort to a professional data recovery service.
And that's all I'll say, because I think this probably *is* off-topic.

Hello everyone,
I was working with xcode and my battery run out and the machine
powered off. When I turned the machine back on, and I saw the
file I was working on, it was completely damaged!!! It looks like
a binary file and I think I lost all the C++ code I've been
working over a year.
Can anyone give me any suggestions on what to do???? I really
need that file,
