I'd like to reiterate my preference for no tooltip at all.

It's a never-ending debate -- we do have a little 'i' icon intended to show that a tooltip is available, and I think we originally restricted the tooltip to that but found it was too small a hit region. We'll take a look at doing that again.

Long-term, we have some things in mind that should make this whole thing obsolete.

Thanks for the report -- that is being tracked on the browser side, but hadn't made it to me to ensure we were doing a workaround in the docs.

We're working on pushing out our next doc update soon, and I'll make sure those tooltips get pulled.

Our intent, after this doc update, is to re-instate the tooltips using standard browser "title" functionality. We currently use a fancier JavaScript driven approach that allows for styled content in the tooltip and some additional control over the display of the tooltip, but unfortunately we can't get around triggering this bug, so we're going back to basics.

I'd like to reiterate my preference for no tooltip at all. I find they pop up when they're mostly unwanted, and obscure whatever's underneath (which might not actually be that much, but the feeling that they're in the way persists).

Maybe if there was a very small "i" or something, but all too often my mouse is hovering while I'm reading the page (and possibly scrolling), and it triggers the popup. I really feel like the info they contain could just be put on the page.

TIA,
Rick
