Turning off data formatters doesn't seem to help in my case.
The only thing that works is quitting and relaunching the iPhone Simulator, usually between each and every build and run session.

Before I got your note, I was able to temporarily alleviate my problem by quitting and relaunching the iPhone Simulator.

This happens to me so frequently with the latest Xcode that the debugger is almost useless. Major step backwards.

Looking forward to LLDB -- hopefully it will not be as frustrating.
Do you have the data formatters turned on in Xcode? If so, try turning them off. I keep them turned off—they often cause problems. If you turn them off and the problem goes away, check the description methods of any objects you have.
Kind regards,
