Some just go naked. It is a far better fit than any piece of cloth.
In any event this supports your points about one size fits all. It seldom does because we all have our own methods and processes for accomplishing something.
I regards to XCode 4 I really haven't used it for anything. I've played around with it to get a feel and have to say I'm really disappointed. Frankly XCode 3 was a terrible environment for me, as it certainly isn't a place to do rapid development, but XCode 4 actually seems to be far worst. It really has been a big turn off when it comes to Mac and iOS development.
One thing that really burns my ass is Interface Builder and the way it supposedly builds interfaces for me. In one word pathetic! I was really hoping for a new approach here but it looks like they just moved screens around and made things even less accessible. The whole thing is a mess and doesn't reflect my development needs at all. Further IB forces you to write a lot of ugly Apple specific code that flies in the face of what an IDE should be doing for you.
So yeah XCode fits like used under wear gotten from a mission on the wrong side of the tracks. That is the fit is terrible, they barely function and you are likely to catch something from wearing them.

Anybody who thinks that any "one size fits all" solution is best is looking from the manufacturing side and not from the customer view. It's like clothing. Off-the-rack garments may cover your body, but they never fit like a custom tailored suit. If you have never experienced the difference, you may not understand. If you have, you'll never be satisfied with the lower quality.
