It’s easy to overlook, especially because — regardless of what the menu
item says — they’re *workspace* settings, not project settings.
Right, good point. And even though I have got the project building outside the
source tree now, thinking about it a bit more I'm still somewhat mystified
because if this setting lives somewhere outside the project and workspace
(yes, I have looked at the project.xcworkspace/contents.xcworkspacedata file)
how on earth did Xcode 7 know that this particular old project that I
inherited wanted to build inside inside the source tree, given that I have
never configured Xcode 7 to use legacy build locations?
