I take this back. With the latest Xquartz release you managed to
break all Fink package builds that need X11. The reason is not the
decreasing version number, but the change in wording.
Just to throw my two cents in:
Why does Fink need to know? In general, a better approach to take is
"does this system support capability <X>?" rather than "is it using
version Y of program Z?"
If you can help figure out the answer to that, maybe we can come up
with a better, more general approach.
