Why so few OSX Additions?

  • Subject: Why so few OSX Additions?

I largely held off upgrading to X until AppleScript was in order...

Now, with OSX reaching toddler stage (2 years?) I somewhat surprised by the
lack "standard" 3rd party additions. Tanaka, Akua, (and a gazillion other
little wonders) seem to be MIA. Gratefully Jon and Emmanuel and a few
newbies have stepped up to the plate, but the pickin's are few (as evidenced
by the list on MacScripter.

Does anyone know why? Are they working on these? -- or have they thrown in
the towel?
