To me, it sounds like it could be just a bug in UDF. But I work on the Finder, not UDF, so I can't say for sure. Please file a bug report with the details, so someone can investigate.


The part about the items later disappearing from Finder is certainly a bug; I believe it's already covered by <rdar://problem/3949358>.
