Ah! Now I see! Thanks for pointing that out. The reason I had to ask
was because I never see folder windows with a toolbar/sidebar. All of
my folders open without those pesky things. "How?", you may ask.
Simple ... I have a very old script that removes the toolbar/sidebar,
among other things. It would be nice if there were a preference
somewhere that would simply turn off this iCandy globally.
