Car? You do not want a car in San Francisco. There are, like, 5 million registered cars and only 2.9 million parking spaces.

I just grabbed a room at The Adante Hotel. I know nothing about them other than the rates are good and the people are nice.

And the map is here. Nice walk to the convention center. Slightly seedier than Union Square, but not bad.
