I find it hard to believe you're going to get much better than any of the
higher end software rips out there. I too toyed with the idea of buying the
Epson Rip with the new version but ended up with Bestcolor. Other than the
learning curve it's been great. If you already have a Windows box to run it
on you get a lot more versatility for your money. The Epson doesn't have
any nesting features and consequently you can only print one image after the
other in a continuous line. That's not a great utilization of paper in my
mind.
Please bear in mind, if you're not used to this sort of thing you will have
to attend the University of Stupid Mistakes. But it sounds as if with your
previous experience it should be a breeze. Anyway if you were going to
sell your kids maybe you should at least buy a Ferrari or something exciting
with the money.
