a little too slow for your taste?
I find it surprisingly fast (PIII 1000mhz IBM Thinkpad)and the camera has
a buffer that will store a few shots while the 1st ones are saving in a
situation where you might want to shoot a few frames quickly.
With a 128meg card I can only store about 32 RAW shots whereas when
shooting with the laptop you're limited only by the space on the hard
disk. I also get easy access to all the camera shooting contols (f/stop
shutter speed etc..) which makes bracketing easier. It's not the preview
I'm looking for, it's the storage of 100-200 exposures and the rapid
access to those images by anyone networked with the laptop (I shoot, they
transfer and 'process')
