Hi,

I am looking at a file that has been taken direct from the memory card in a Nikon 5700 camera which I would have thought is untagged. When I examine the image using Colorthink, this appears to be the case. When I open the image in Photoshop, the profile mismatch dialogue says there is an embedded sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile.

Could someone (possibly from Chromix) explain the discrepancy?

Hi Simon,
Yup, as the others mentioned, Photoshop is seeing the EXIF tag and not telling you about it... ColorThink shows that there is, in fact, no profile embedded in the image.
Future versions of ColorThink will let you know about the EXIF data to avoid the confusion that this generates.
Regards,
Steve
