Well that's you, Bob, and it says volumes about your professionalism. The
problem is that I run into those who never use profiles, wouldn't know RGB
from "real good beer", and they consider all CMYK to be a set of absolute
numbers because they're so tied in with a closed loop scenario they can get
away with it. I'm speaking of production personnel in major agencies doing
national and international campaigns for Fortune 100 companies, too. Their
pre-press house tells them that profiling doesn't work, it isn't worth the
time and effort, and they buy into it. Then they buy proof after edit after
proof, all at the client's expense.
I can live with all of that because it's not my money that's getting wasted,
but what bugs me is that I'm now being told that I'm going to jinx my job if
I do embed a profile. Enough is enough.
