Fellow Color Freaks!!

We have a client that wants us to output a chart on it that shows a very particular color they want to match [...] The product has many different plastics and fabrics, from many different manufacturers, and they are having trouble expressing how close this color needs to be. [...]

Just an additional note: take care of metamerism failures! If you have different materials and no controlled viewing conditions, the chart may be useless as visual reference. I have no clue of material testing, but I know for example that plastics and solvent inks exhibit a completely different behavior in different lighting conditions than paper and offset inks.

Once again: If you just want to illustrate differences, I think there is no problem. If you need a visual reference, there are many.
