Are you aware of any document that contains a MSE comparison of
the different interpolation methods, for different CLUT sizes?
I'm not following you. The interpolation method only has an influence
on accuracy within each grid cell, so the CLUT size is irrelevant
to the choice of method.
Sure. I'm used to reading MSE as indicator of imaging algorithm
performance so that was the first that occured to me.
I was thinking of something like: take very high precision/large CLUT
and run some sample data through it - that's our baseline
Now run several interpolation algorithms on subsampled CLUTS, same
sample data. Compare the outputs and calculate the MSE.
But what I meant is, is there some document that has any kind of
comparison of the precision of the various interpolation alorithms.
