The definition of matching the press, is restricting the gamut of the
proofing device to that of the press. You can print lovely full gamut images on your
Vutek, or you can print press emualtions on it, but you can't do both in the
same image. If your 'lovely pastels" are spot colors, than an advanced RIP will
allow those to be matched as named color callouts beyond the gamut of your
other press colors, but otherwise, the press emulation device link should
produce the correct gamut limitations for the job of press emulation.
