Someone who wants to measure more patches automatically with and without UV
for starters. Someone who has to deal with CMYK 2nd. The profiles I built
with the colormunki, 100 patches (sometimes only 50 which is an option) are
on par quality wise from viewing distances from profiles I built to the same
device using 1700 patches in the iSis. Now X-Rite may not like that I said
this, and this was beta software (still is), and there are different color
engines here too. But for most users, if you held up under the light booth a
100 patch profile from colormunki and a 1700 odd patch from the iSis, they'd
be hard pressed to see a difference visually.

You are encouraged to test this theory of yours on your own. I've done it on
my end, only to three Epson ink jet printers.
