At one point, I had assembled myself a camera profile editing
toolchain, and did a lot of on-screen profile editing of profiles
which were actually generated algorithmically in the first place; here
the SG came in really handy because of the many colors displayed. It
might be useful actually to have a non-photo chart which can be placed
next to a screen.
I found the normal Colorchecker useful for evaluating screens and
profiling software, but the pocket chart is just too small, at least
for my eyes, I don't get a decent "feeling" of color from it.
Practicing photographers also dislike using it.

Until recently I used the Classic for my field work because of its convenient size and matte surface. The Passport, with its protective plastic case and extra neutral patches, is now my choice for field work.
