Having now done the clean driver install and having got some prints out, I can definitely confirm another crappy bug in this workflow that I'd flagged here some time ago:
Photoshop CS5 + Mac OS 10.6.x + Every Epson Driver we've used = Cyan scum dot in the non-printing areas of the page :(
Meaning that, if we print a plain white tiff image that is 10x8 inches centred on a 12x16 page size we end up with a 10x8 patch of unprinted paper white floating in a fine mist of cyan that extends to 12x16".
Scaling that up to a nice print floating in acres of white on a 44" roll -- and you've remembered to extend the background white to the page size as a workaround -- if you are a millimetre out in your calculations you'll have to sit a wait for the Epson to image a half millimetre of cyan dots around all the edges of your massive print… what a waste of time...
