I think that the "Sky is falling" comments don't help. I am here at NAB, and while there is a lot of serious concern amongst the developers about the status of FCPX, everyone I have talked with agrees that a "wait and see" approach is the best course.
Naturally, some lucky developers (I am not one of them) already have a beta. They do not appear to be concerned. Of course, this doesn't indicate what is "in" or "out". But you can guess that if the developers are using FCPX right now with their hardware, some of the APIs have moved over.
I wish that more of us could have been involved in this beta. (As has been the case in the past.)
