WOBuilder could be replaced by a Editor that supports the struts-framework, I think it would even possible to convert all WO-Tags automatically.

That would be a drag. One of the (many) reasons I want to try and move to WO is to get away from things like struts and dealing with the horribly ugly taglib mechanism. I would think it would be much easier to swap in Tapestry if they were going to do something that drastic. I'm not sure what advantage that would pose though. Wouldn't a LOT of good system architecture get lost if WO became a Struts editor? I don't know - just guessing - I'm just a frustrated J2EE developer looking for a better way. :-)
