Hi again Karl (and List Members),

I agree WO is probably not going away in the short-medium term (although it is harder to convince prospective clients of this than it should be).

They have also been very clear that if you develop using WO on a non-MacOS X platform then you are basically on your own and that their current tools are unlikely to be updated for Windows.

We expect to see Xcode 2.0 support (which will eventually replace EOModeller and also add some nice object modelling features) and support for Java 1.5.

On Windows, Eclipse for an IDE with WOLips/WOProject is fine (more than fine) but what do Windows developers do to replace WOBuilder and EOModeller? [1]

A text editor isn't a nice enough alternative ;-)

Surely a Java version of EOModeller (to replace the current version on MacOSX and Windows) would be the best solution.

As for WOBuilder, could that be done as a plugin for Eclipse (basic version, perhaps just plaintext HTML), and plugins for DreamWeaver and GoLive?

Cheers,
Ashley.

[1] The current WOBuilder and EOModeller are probably not going away, but it seems like they have been End-of-Lifed. At the very least, it doesn't seem like any bugs will be fixed, or improvements added.
