Yes, I am aware of that. By ctrl-C of course I meant ctrl-c in
applications where ctrl-c is supposed to work (such as GTK+
applications). I don’t expect it to work where it shouldn’t work (such
as in xterms).
But I am very sure that back in the old days ctrl-c alone (without the
use of Command-c) used to work perfectly fine. I used to (very often)
generate unicode control characters in pidgin, copy them from the X
side, and paste them into OpenOffice or Firefox. Unfortunately this
neat trick no longer works.
