I agree, and it brings up other problems as well. For example, the 10.2 SDK. Xcode 1.0.x came with an SDK for 10.2.7; the CD replaces it with an SDK for 10.2.8. So now I have two different 10.2 SDKs on my Mac.

This isn't a problem if everyone working on a project is expected to have exactly the same Xcode installation (like in a corporate setting, for instance), but unfortunately, several projects I'm working on are distributed to other developers with their own installations. Now that there are two different Xcode installation "types" out there, I can't use the 10.2.8 SDK because some other people on the project probably just did the "Software Update" 1.1 update, and since the 10.2.7 SDK was removed from the "CD" update, the project probably needs to be modified to build if someone decides to do a clean install...

I appreciate how Apple wanted to get this update out quickly, but I think the CD & disk image based distributions used in the past worked just fine, since then at least everyone was on the same page & there wasn't as much confusion. I really like Xcode 1.1; I just don't like how there are two different updates out there...

Just my two cents...
