4) The debugging format that we are using doesn't support C++ namespaces. I was hoping that we would be able to move over to the newer form (Dwarf) for the next release, but that's not going to make it. We will get there soon, however.

Ah ha! That would explain my gdb on my 10.3 box refused stubbornly to do anything useful with a recent project, while gdb under Red Hat had no such issues... I thought I was just going daft[er]. :)


So will there be an out-of-band update for gdb when it gets Dwarf support, or will we have to wait for 10.5 (or whatever)?
