The link, or the download? It's still marked as a "developer preview",
which would suggest that it's a seed release.
The link itself (and the name of the release, which is what is
important here) is in the clear. All downloads require at least ADC
Online membership.
Xcode 2.1 is available to ADC Online members and above, but to get an
ADC Online account you have to click-through the NDA. At the top of
the download page you get a big friendly warning that if you talk
about pre-release software legal will roast your gonads.
There is a lot of code that's available at the ADC download site that is publicly announced, including Xcode 2.1. I would contact ADC and request that they clearly mark GM releases from seed releases so you can adhere to the terms of the NDA.
So is Xcode 2.1 under NDA? When are things not under NDA? Is it to be
inferred arbitrarily from their version numbers?
I still can't tell whether you mean 2.2 is generally available or only
to seed key holders.
2.2DP1 is available to online members. Other seeds are available to various other people according to their ADC status. But the key here is that
the existence of 2.2 is not under nondisclosure, so merely mentioning the version number in a message on xcode-users is not a violation of NDA, as several people here implied. But discussing the
details of 2.2 seeds is.
