I rest my case. If Xcode requires a high-end dual-processor machine
to do something that CodeWarrior could do on a mid-range uni-processor
machine, it's too damn slow.
I have also run in on slower systems (single core but still usually in
the Pro class of things) and never seen things as bad as you listed...
if you have specifics please report them to Apple.
