As you well know, Apple is an extremely secretive company. As well, the
rumors community has an amazing ability to pry apart the most innocuous
of statements into "news about future products" that eventually wind
their way into the Wall Street analysts hands. Amazing process, really.
But what about very simple bugs like 4247630 that I filed almost a year
ago: NZERO not XSI compliant. Apple could fix the value in their header
file (or not, if they don't want to be XSI compliant) and make a note
about it. I seriously doubt this is going to cause any waves on Wall
Street. "Oh noes! They've changed a define in one header. Sell!"
If there's any doubt at all, they could do what they do now and say
nothing. Feature requests for instance. For simple bugs like the fact
that 20 was mistyped as 0 (and in the wrong header for that matter), well...
