Really? Apart from disk space (which can be an issue, especially if
you're using SSD), I can't imagine what that's a priority. Xcode has
fully supported multiple parallel installations for quite a while now.
I quite often have 3 (or more) versions installed at once.

Wow, that's hefty statement, one which I can't agree with at all. I've
put every version that's come out since last summer through its paces,
and have to say that the released version is WAY better than the first
preview that was available, both in terms of bug fixes and user
interface improvements. The past 8 or 9 months we have seen a stream
of really steady improvements to Xcode 4, and to claim that it's
"barely changed" seems really unfair.
