I take your point, though I find the Xcode 4 window behavior so unpredictable that it's hard to know what's a true bug, what's a terrible redesign, and what's just different.

But, rdar://9153226 -- this was totally unexpected and totally bad. Hitting a breakpoint (visible in the top window) changed what a different window showed.
