Hi,
Does anyone else use Xcode in VMware with older versions of MacOS?
So far I had Xcode 3.x in virtual 10.6 and it all worked fine. This way I could support PPC and MacOS 10.4.
Then later I managed to install Mavericks and Xcode 6.2 to target 10.9 and above. Both of these worked flawlessly.
And now I have OS X Yosemite in VMWare and the performance is awful. Googling a bit found beamoff utility.

Even with it performance is still not quite good for more frequent use. Latest Xcode supports pretty much only the latest SDK and in order to maintain older projects I used older Macs or VMWare. It looks like in the near future it will become quite hard, maybe even impossible.
Anyone else using VMware/VirtualBox for Xcode with reassuring thoughts or ideas? Should I slowly abandon my older Mac projects and concentrate on iOS?

And another question, was Carbon Dev shut down?
