Hello all -
I'm switching from Kodak Colorflow to Profilemaker 4, and wanted to ask for
some insight as to the proper/best targets and rendering intents for various
scenarios.
I'm using a DTP41T and also a Spectrolino as my colorimeters, and am curious
as to weather I will get better results saving the spectral data (which is
slower) or if the cie values will achieve the same results.
The devices I'm profiling include a Lambda 130, Fuji Frontier, Mimaki JV3
and HP5500 - the Hp I switch between dye and pigment inks on a range of
medias (paper, film, fabric, vinyl)
The kodak software did not give me the option for various profiling targets
or rendering options, and while I've read the online help for in the
Profilemaker software, I'm curious as to what real world folks have seen as
the best combinations for achieving good profiles.
I've generated about a half dozen profiles so far, with good results, but
there seem to be so many options in this software that I'd like to pick the
brains of those who have been down this road already...
Thanks,
Charlie
