Agreed, however, there is no default export, nor one that encodes in
Adobe RGB (1998) as Uli proposes.
The FACT is, you can select to export a file in sRGB, ARGB(98) or
ProPhoto RGB in two places: in the file settings section of the
Export dialog, and in the External Editing tab of Preferences (Edit
Menu).
Uli said "export". Open in External Editor could be said to be an
export, but once again, he's not been clear in his procedures.
If I were after creating "accurate" profiles for multi-purposed
images, it would be the most sensible colour space to use.
Agreed again. Assuming he's not mixing up the two different commands.
I suspect he is.
In LR 2.0, one can even export to any RGB color space they happen to
have a profile for (using the Other...) option. One could export in a
linear encoded ProPhoto encoding if they so desired.
