The part I don't understand is why doing some measurements is "wrong"
as long as it is reproducible. If people don't like the measurements,
then they should just suggest some other measurements that should be
done.
I mean, we're measuring monitors, and computing DEs, with discussion
whether the DEs are really the right DEs, and whether the instruments
are the right instruments (colorimeters for wide-gamut monitors).
We're measuring printers, with discussion whether one should
illuminate with or without UVs. We're comparing spectrophotometer
readings and discussing whether such readings do or should agree. I
don't see any reason why we should not also have people on list
discussing their evaluation of digital cameras.
