And what are the practical implications when you're working with a Raw
converter like ACR or Lightroom where the processing is conducted in a
linear space, you're viewing the numbers and data in a gamma corrected
space (in the case of LR an sRGB 2.2 TRC) then asking to export to
ProPhoto RGB using a 1.8 TRC? It could make your head hurt if anything.
The TRC of the display and the editing space should (note should) be
agnostic.
