Latency? Rather unpredictable latency. IIRC, the IAC loopback driver
does not convey supplied timestamps, or does it?
With Logic, it is also sort of a nightmare to route incoming MIDI from
the outside to a particular track/instrument. This requires a fiddly
patch in the environment, including channel splitters and such.
I would so much love to see a simple drop-down menu on each channel
strip for selecting an external MIDI source directly. This is how
Ableton Live, Reaper and many other DAWs do it and it is very
comfortable to use.
