I'm not familiar with CMU ECE, so I won't touch that one. But as for
real world and X11, direct or remote, I have seen perfect examples of
how well it DOES work. Again, I can't go into specifics (without going
to jail), but it can and IS done, and X11 is very capable of all of
this...with a well-written server that's written for the computer's
graphics hardware as a direct interface. The fact that this may not be
done all of the time is not X11's fault...

Nope. It was sent to the list. The dupe never got past gmail's SMTP
server, so there is absolutely no reason to CC me. This is starting to
sound more like a personal dislike of X11 and/or limited experience with
X11 that's implemented correctly, not actual flaws in X11.
