How much RAM did it take to make it tolerable? I have a dual 2 GHz G5
with 1.5 GB, then upgraded to 2.5 GB, but it is still unusably slow.
I don't know if upgrading any more would help or not. Our machines
range from 2 - 2.5 Gigs, right around where yours is. It was
unbearable for us when we had 1 - 1.5 Gigs. For us that extra Gig
was the difference between constant paging and occasional paging.
The largest contribution to speed we had was from upgrading from 1.5
to 2.0 or 2.1.
