What sort of diagnostic analysis would be helpful and how do I obtain it? I've only used Activity Monitor to watch my memory/cpu usage live. If I can get something together, I'll file a bug report with as detailed of a description as I can.

So far, the only solutions I've found are to restart Xcode (which is an atrocious solution) or use an external editor. Mind you, I don't mind this so much since I use emacs and enjoy it thoroughly. My only real complaint is that I want Xcode's intellisense which requires using the built-in editor which is what causes my slowdown.

If you'd file a bug or point us to some diagnostic analysis I'd be happy to help.
